The Dancing Coyote Collection

The Dancing Coyote Collection is a series of three 2x4 foot canvases featuring whimsical and characteristic dancing coyotes each in their own unique environment spanning from nighttime scenery, twilight, and the radiance of a new day. The collection was featured among the Lucky 13 at ArtRat Gallery during ArtPrize 2024. Each coyote has a Spotify playlist containing the songs that inspired the individual color palettes.

Each coyote represents a stage in the process of letting go of grief. We start in the night when it is dark, yet we smile through it.

Which leads to the day- eyes sore and tired, but we are here and our world is bright.

Then move to twilight as we allow our emotions and tears to run through us.

Grief is heavy. I have had my own grief that I held on too long without realizing it was even possible to forgive myself and my past, but when I listen to the music surrounding me and allow my body to move through the motions it needs too, I realize that it is time to let go- and that is okay.
